About this centre
Parklea Correctional Centre is located on the Parklea Correctional Complex, about 40km north-west of Sydney. It is one of two privately managed correctional centres in NSW and holds maximum-security and remand male inmates.
What this centre is used for
The centre receives and holds male inmates, including a large remand population awaiting court.
Visits and contact
Bookings for visits are required and can be made by phone Monday to Friday between 8:15am and 2:00pm. In-person visits run six days a week, with no visits on Tuesdays. The centre has two AVL suites that legal practitioners may book at any time by email. The nearest railway station is Blacktown, with an hourly bus service. Before travelling, call to confirm the visit.
