About this centre
Bathurst Correctional Centre is a mixed-security facility for male offenders located about 210km west of Sydney. It serves as a reception prison for western NSW and holds both sentenced and remand inmates.
What this centre is used for
The centre takes in and assesses men from the western region of the State, holding sentenced inmates and those on remand awaiting court.
Visits and contact
Bookings for in-person and video visits are required and can be made online through JUST Connect. JUST Connect bookings open each week from Tuesday 9:00am to Thursday 12:00pm for the coming weekend. First-time visitors should email the centre for a Visitor Identification Number (VIN) application form. For further information, call the centre Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. Before travelling, call to confirm the visit and visiting time.
