Broken Hill District Court serves the far west region of New South Wales. Broken Hill is a historic frontier mining town and remains the major regional centre in the area.
The court was erected in 1889 and officially opened in January 1890 by Sir Henry Parkes. It reflects a typical late Victorian NSW court design, featuring a two-storey central section, single-storey wings, and a wide verandah.
