About this centre
Clarence Correctional Centre is a maximum and minimum-security centre for male and female offenders, located about 12km south-east of Grafton on the NSW north coast. It is roughly a six-hour drive from Sydney and four hours from Brisbane. Clarence is the largest correctional centre in Australia and is privately managed.
What this centre is used for
The centre holds mainstream sentenced and remand inmates, as well as protection inmates, across separate male and female areas.
Visits and contact
Bookings for video and in-person visits are required and can be made using JUST Connect. Bookings can only be made for the coming weekend and no more than seven days in advance. In-person visits run on different days for different inmate groups. To cancel a booking, contact the centre. Before travelling, call to confirm the visit and visiting time.
