About this centre
Shortland Correctional Centre is a maximum-security facility for male offenders on the Cessnock Correctional Complex in the Hunter Valley, about 151km north-west of Sydney. The complex also includes Cessnock and Hunter correctional centres.

The centre holds maximum-security male inmates, including sentenced and remand prisoners.
Visits and contact
Bookings are required for in-person and video visits and can be made by phone Wednesday to Friday. Visits are usually limited to one per week due to limited visiting spaces. The complex entrance is off Wine Country Drive; navigation apps may use an incorrect access road. Enclosed shoes must be worn. Before travelling, call to confirm the booking.
