Tamworth Correctional Centre is a medium-security facility for male offenders in the Northern Tablelands, about 397km north of Sydney. It serves as a reception centre for Tamworth and the surrounding districts.

The centre receives and holds sentenced and remand male inmates from the region.
Visits and contact
Bookings are essential for all visits and can be made through JUST Connect or by calling the visits booking line Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 11:30am. In-person visits run on weekends; arrive at least 30 minutes before your session. Legal practitioners may visit seven days a week, 9:30am to 3:00pm, with 24 hours’ notice. Before travelling, call to confirm the visit and visiting time.
